What began in the 1960s with relief efforts and evangelism has continued to develop steadily over the decades. Our vision has remained the same: to support and encourage missionary projects, churches, and key individuals on the ground.
We look to Italy with joy and recognize that God is moving something – in society, in churches, and especially among young people. In recent months, we have witnessed this in Rome, Milan, Bari, Sicily, and Tuscany. Our missionary work, the Change Camps, plays a central role in our Italian network. From January 11 to 18, 2026, we experienced a very powerful week of alliance prayer. Christians from different churches and generations came together to pray. We were able to pray together for various concerns, intercede for one another in prayer, and encourage one another.
This year's theme was the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. Various prayer stations were set up, each focusing on a different spiritual gift. The room was designed so that the cross stood in the center and streams of the Holy Spirit flowed through the room.
Every evening there was a worship and prayer meeting, and each evening different people led the worship. Time and again we saw how God touched people and met them. The moments when we prayed together for specific concerns or stood up for one another were particularly valuable.
One of the most beautiful moments was when we stood in a circle around the cross and prayed together for illnesses and concerns. It was a moment of unity, with young and old praying together.
Wednesday evening was a very powerful evening. Someone shared a testimony in which he told how he had negative thoughts about himself. When he gave this to Jesus, he experienced freedom. He encouraged others: if you struggle with such thoughts yourself, go to the cross so that others can pray for you. It was a moment when some came before God and said they had a problem and were able to give it to Jesus.
This week, we have seen that prayer has power. And that God hears our prayers. It changes people, situations, and hearts.
That is why we do not want to stop praying together, because we believe that prayer has power. For this reason, we are launching “We Pray.” This is an evening of prayer and worship that takes place on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Frutigen Prayer House. On the afternoon of February 6, we as the msd team had the opportunity to experience the first E6 event of the year. E6 stands for six different internal events organized by the msd team. The goal is for us as a team to grow personally in our faith, deepen our relationship with God, and thereby develop a healthy, sustainable ministry so that we can work more effectively for the kingdom of God.
Each of these events has a different focus. These include evangelism, team time, inspiration, and other formative experiences. The theme of the February outing was “Experience.” Together as a team, we explored the area around Frutigen on a walk. Along the way, we talked in pairs to get to know each other better and shared our thoughts on the topic of vocation. Once again, we recognized God's greatness, which is evident in each person's personal calling. The afternoon was rounded off with a delicious snack at Markus Staub's home. We ended the day in a cozy atmosphere, sharing further thoughts, praying for the msd mission work, and strengthening not only our bodies but also our community as a team.
It was especially valuable to have time for each other and to listen to each other outside of the office context. In our conversations, it became clear how different our paths are and how God nevertheless brings everything together—into one team, into one body. Moments like these strengthen trust within the team and remind us that we are on this journey together. I came home from that afternoon feeling strengthened and grateful for such a great team, and I am looking forward to the next E6 event.

In 2025, we were once again able to celebrate Christmas at Loebegge in Bern. With over 100 people in attendance, we witnessed how people were touched by God's presence, paused to reflect, and in some cases heard the gospel for the first time.
A group was out on the streets of Bern talking to people. We were able to give away over 40 Bibles and also offer visitors some practical gifts in the form of punch and cookies. We are particularly grateful that we were able to work with several churches in the region again this year. This unity was palpable and visible: Christians from different churches stood side by side, prayed together, praised God, and proclaimed the gospel. On December 25, this became a visible expression of what the Bible describes as the “body of Christ”—different members with different tasks, all pursuing a common goal, namely to make Jesus known. At the end of our mission, we gathered as a group in front of the Federal Palace. There we prayed together for Switzerland: we prayed that many people would come to faith in Jesus, that the church and Christians would have a clear and loving voice in society, and that God would grant unity and wisdom in political decisions. It was particularly moving to see people of different generations standing there together, young and old, gathered in the cold and darkness with a common purpose, namely to pray for their country.
Afterwards, the premises of the EGW Bern were made available to us. This allowed us to celebrate Christmas together as a group of around 100 people and end the evening with hot dogs.

In August 2024, I started my third year of training as a mediamatician at msd. I completed my first two years of training at Bict AG*1. I am now in my fourth year of training and have gained a lot of valuable experience and worked on exciting projects over the past year.
My daily tasks include preparing blog posts for Godloves.me and msd-online.ch, keeping the websites up to date, and implementing new content or features. There are always larger projects or something outside of the normal daily routine, which are very exciting. Like the plentiful.garden website, which I implemented from scratch based on a design, which was a great experience because I was able to implement and create an entire website on my own. Or the new Change-camps.ch website, which I was able to implement. Above all, I was able to implement many complex animations. I learned a lot from this site and I am very happy with the end result.
Other projects included editing a promotional video for the Beach Volleyball Change Camp, which we then published online. I also created an animated video for the Change Camps snack campaign. What I always enjoy is taking photos at events or camps, such as during KILA or Youth Camp. Tasks like these add variety to my daily routine.
I really enjoy doing technical things, such as building a website or finding a solution to a problem, but I also really enjoy creating videos or taking photos. I would like to improve my creative skills, but through my work I am able to do so little by little.
Besides the work, I appreciate the community and sharing of faith at msd. Every morning, we take time to pray together, thank God for what he does, and bring our concerns before him. I also particularly enjoy the opportunity to participate in the camps. I have been helping out at Kila for four years now, which I always enjoy.
During my last year at msd, I was able to improve my skills as a mediamatician and also grow in my faith. These experiences make my apprenticeship varied, educational, and personally enriching.
