Two of us got into conversation with a Jewish family. The topic was the word ‘Ruach’ – a Hebrew word that means ‘spirit,’ “wind” or ‘breath’ in the Bible. It describes the living power of God that gives life, moves and renews (Genesis 1:2). Already in the creation account, we encounter the Ruach of God hovering over the waters. Our prayer is that people today may also recognise God in the beauty of creation. The family was delighted that we were familiar with the Old Testament, and a valuable exchange about this common foundation ensued.

This conversation began a few hours earlier: after a relaxing summer break, during which many of us were able to recharge our batteries – some completely relaxed, others busy at camps or BNE Rome – we started the late summer season full of anticipation as the MSD team. Exciting changes and new projects await, which you will read more about in upcoming blog posts.
To kick things off, we met for one of our Team E6 events. For us, Team E6 means consciously spending time together every two months to grow in faith, encourage one another, learn new things and be active together in God's kingdom. This time, the focus was on exercise – practising, training and taking courageous steps.
Our destination: the beautiful Blausee, known for its bright blue colour and popular with tourists from all over the world. In teams of two, we set off to welcome people to Switzerland in person. Equipped with maps from
We were particularly delighted to meet Chinese families this year. In their homeland, it is often more difficult to talk openly about God, which made these encounters all the more precious. We pray that the seeds sown on this day will sprout in many hearts and that people will discover a personal relationship with God.
Once again, we saw that it is worth taking the step to approach people. Every glance, every smile, every conversation can convey a little bit of hope – and that is exactly why we want to be out and about.
Tip: Do you have a holiday flat or a lot of contact with tourists? Then we recommend our Amazingplace postcard. This way, you can welcome your holiday guests to Switzerland – and spread a valuable message at the same time.
